Inner Code Alchemy
Inner Code Alchemy is an interactive audiovisual installation combining a sci-fi, first-person video game with immersive storytelling. Built in Unreal Engine and displayed on large LED screens, it is controlled via a tablet connected to TouchDesigner through OSC for real-time interaction. Players navigate 12 symbolic areas inspired by the African Kemet Calendar, each representing a deity linked to a specific month. A central portal activates teleportation based on the selected symbol. The experience includes voice-guided Light Beings, ambient soundscapes, and sacred texts on holographic-like screens.
The process involved in-depth research on African cosmology, developing script content, designing symbolic environments, collaborating to create 3D assets and visual effects, building real-time interaction systems, and composing healing soundscapes.
The core themes focus on preserving pre-colonial historical truths by reclaiming African contributions often overlooked by Western narratives. It highlights Africa as the birthplace of advanced societies like Kemet (Ancient Egypt), foundational in science, spirituality, and technology. It emphasizes enduring ancestral knowledge systems, such as the nature-based African Royal Kemet Calendar and its holistic worldview. By reviving ancestral memory, the work promotes a conscious, sustainable mindset and reflection on identity. Its goals include creating interactive spaces for awareness, fostering dialogue, engaging communities, and inspiring harmony between ancient wisdom and innovation.
Inner Code Alchemy pushes digital art forward by merging serious gaming with immersive installation, storytelling, ritual, and ancestral knowledge. It redefines the video game as a tool for cultural education, spiritual insight, and collective experience—shifting its role from entertainment to transformation.
