Description

Part of Collection 01, a body of digital artworks drawing together the laws of nature, modern science and art. The work takes up new materialism, the proposition that matter is not inert substance waiting to be animated from somewhere outside itself, but is already active and vibrant, energy held in continuous vibration. Against a materialism that keeps matter and spirit on opposite sides of a line, it treats the two as one field observed at different scales, and holds the scientific account of vibration alongside the philosophical question that account leaves open.
